So the other day I was reading Crazy Kerri's blog and she was blogging about becoming and being a military wife. It got me thinking about some of the good and bad of being a military!
Although I have enjoyed moving around, meeting people and having friends all over the world, there are some things that bother me. One of the biggest ones (besides not being with my family) is trying to find a person who can cut your hair. Now I am not really that picky when it comes to getting my hair cut, I've tried the really expensive places (like Blue in Boston) where they actually serve you wine while you get your hair cut to the really inexpensive places like Cost Cutters where you never get the same person twice!!! The other day I went with Peyton while he was getting his hair cut at Cost Cutters I figured my bangs need to be cut what the heck I'll hop in a chair and get them cut how bad can they be. That was my first mistake... bangs are the easiest piece of hair to mess up and mess up badly! The next mistake was not saying anything when the hair "stylist" wet my bangs (seriously you NEVER cut your bangs when they are wet DUH!!) and started snipping. After she quickly dried them she kept clipping and snipping... now my bangs were not that long and I was a little uneasy about much she was snipping. I got out of the chair and looked in the mirror and was stunned. Peyton refers to my bangs as country/redneck where the woman gets her bangs cut really short and then they curl them under with a curling iron.
So needless to say I won't be returning to Cost Cutters and now will have to start the crazy search for someone who can cut my hair without making look like I belong in the 80s! Ahhh the greatness of being a military wife.
